Who is Ed Sheeran?


Edward Christopher “Ed” Sheeran, English singer, songwriter and album producer, was born on February 17, 1991. He grew up in Framlingham, England. He began his musical career in 2005 and moved to London in 2008 to pursue a career. He gave 312 concerts in 2009, and at the beginning of 2011 he released his first EP named No.5 Collaborations Project.

He made a start with the songs “The A Team” and “Lego House” on the first album “+”. His first album received 5 platinum record labels in the UK. He won the Best British Male Solo Artist and Best Outstanding Artist of the Year award at the BRIT Awards in 2012, while “The A Team” won the musical and verbal best song at the Ivor Novello Awards.

Sheeran’s popularity in the world began in 2012. He was the guest artist in Red Taylor Swift‘s fourth album. He was nominated for the song “The Song of the Year” with the song “The Team” at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where he performed with Elton John.

He released his second album “X” in 2014. He entered the US and UK listings at number one. In 2015, he won the Brit Award for the Album of the Year and the Writer of the Year for the Ivor Novello Awards. The song “Thinking Out Loud” from the album of “X”, earned him two Grammys in 2016 to be the Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. As part of the world tour, Sheeran gave three major concerts at Wembley Stadium in London.

Sheeran’s third album “Divide” was released in March 2017. The first two single from the album, ” Shape of You ” and ” Castle on the Hill ” were released in January 2017 and broke a record by logging in the first two numbers in many countries including England, Australia and Germany. It was also the first artist to enter the Top 10 with two songs in America. Sheeran, one of the most successful musicians of Modern British Popular Culture, was selected as the most influential person in Britain on Debrett’s 2017 list.
