Spider-Man, one of the most popular heroes in the comic book world, will face cinematographers once again with Spider-Man: Homecoming. While waiting for Homecoming, the first Spider-Man film to pass in the Marvel cinematic universe, the first details about the sequel began to emerge.
Marvel and Sony, which started preparations for Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 to be released in the summer of 2019, released important details about the sequel film. Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 will have a very important place in the Marvel cinematic universe. Sony announced that the story of Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 will start minutes after the end of Avengers 4.
In May 2019, two weeks before Spider-Man: Homecoming 2, Avengers 4, which will enter the vision, are said to be a major break point in the Marvel cinematic universe. The Marvel pundits have so far showed that all the stories that have started with the Iron Man in the vision in 2008 and so far have reached a sort of end with the Avengers 4. Preparing to open a new page after that, Marvel seems to have chosen Spider-Man to lead the next stage.
On the other hand, the director of the Spider-Man, Jon Watts, who did a very good job at Spider-Man: Homecoming, will return for the sequel. Marvel manager Kevin Feige announced that they want to continue with Jon Watts, although no official deal has been reached yet.
The first details were also shared about possible Marvel characters in the sequel. Tony Stark (Iron Man), who accompanies Spider-Man in Homecoming, is not expected to appear in the sequel. Instead, a different Avengers character is planned to accompany Spider-Man.
