The corona pandemic also involuntarily slowed Rammstein. Numerous concerts of the band planned for 2020 had to be canceled. But drummer Christoph Schneider knows how to bridge the time sensibly. He is happy to have another son.

Rammstein has had offspring. Drummer Christoph Schneider has become the father of a son. He announced this via Instagram and posted a photo of the baby there.

The 54-year-old wrote in English about the picture: “Hello, my lovely newborn boy.” He uses the hashtag “3 Sons” because he is already the father of two other sons. Schneider did not give the child’s name.

Tens of thousands of fans liked the post. Numerous celebrities also congratulated, such as Alec Völkel from The BossHoss or ex-handball professional Stefan Kretzschmar.

Otherwise, the Berlin-born musician rarely gives insight into his private life. All that is known is that he has been married since 2014 and was already a father.

New edition of “Herzeleid”

With paternity, Schneider can certainly bridge the forced break in the band during the corona crisis. Actually, Rammstein would have wanted to complete the second part of an extensive world tour in 2020. The biggest tour in North America to date was also on the program. But the concerts, many of which had long been sold out, fell victim to the pandemic.

Now the band and their fans hope that Rammstein can return to the stage in 2021. In order to shorten the waiting time, the rockers around frontman Til Lindemann will release a new edition of their debut album “Herzeleid” on December 4th. The occasion is the 25th anniversary of its publication.

In addition, Rammstein announced at the beginning of October that they had retired to the studio to record new music. This time, fans may not have to wait ten years for a brand new work by their idols. There was actually an entire decade between the self-titled album “Rammstein”, which was released in 2019, and its predecessor “Liebe ist für alle da”.
