The Würzburger Kickers remain at the bottom of the 2nd Bundesliga. In Regensburg, the newcomer is weakened with a red card, which is the turning point. Karlsruher SC continues its upward trend, while Aue aggravates the crisis at SV Sandhausen.
SV Sandhausen – Erzgebirge Aue 1: 4 (1: 2)
Defeat for Michael Schiele at the debut as the new coach of the second division soccer club SV Sandhausen: SVS lost 1: 4 (1: 2) to Erzgebirge Aue and after only two points from five games did not make a three. Last Tuesday, Sandhausen separated from coach Uwe Koschinat and signed Schiele as his successor two days later. As a result of the success, Aue improved to fourth place in the table with 15 points.
FC Erzgebirge has been unbeaten in four games, but lost John-Patrick Strauss (84th), who was thrown off the pitch because of an unnecessary foul with yellow-red. Kevin Behrens (19th, penalty kick) had put the hosts in the lead, Florian Krüger (31st) managed to equalize. In the 36th minute, Behrens failed again with a penalty kick, which was decided after video evidence, to Aues keeper Martin Männel. Ben Zolinski (40th / 63rd) brought the Saxons to victory with a double strike.
Pascal Testroet (74th) made the final score. Sandhausen looked equal for a long time, even played confidently for a short time with the lead behind him. However, the defense was not stable. After the equalization the deficits of the defensive players became more and more evident, Aue took advantage of the opportunities that presented themselves.
SSV Jahn Regensburg – Würzburger Kickers 2: 1 (0: 0)
Jahn Regensburg has won again after three defeats in a row. Against the bottom of the table Würzburger Kickers managed a 2: 1 (0: 0). Jan-Niklas Beste (83rd) and Sebastian Stolze (88th) scored the goals for the Upper Palatinate, Hendrik Hansen (90th + 2) scored the late goal.
The guests had to play in the last 24 minutes after the controversial red card for Niklas Hoffmann because of a violent act (66th). Mainfranken just missed a point win in the second game under new coach Bernhard Trares. In his first game as the responsible Kickers coach there was a 2-1 win against Hannover 96 last Sunday, it was the first win of the season. SSV Jahn got off to a better start and also had more play. Stolze had the greatest chance when he headed the ball against the crossbar in the 42nd minute.
In the seventh minute, Florian Flecker had to clear the line for goalkeeper Fabian Giefer, who had already been beaten. In the 29th minute, Giefer cleared Stolz in a one-on-one situation. In the 81st minute, Erik Wegesser narrowly missed the guest goal with a direct acceptance. Two minutes later, Beste was more fortunate.
Karlsruher SC – SC Paderborn 1: 0 (1: 0)
Victory streak broken, table lead missed: Bundesliga relegated SC Paderborn suffered a 0: 1 (0: 1) defeat at Karlsruher SC after three three-pointers in a row, so the jump to first place failed. Hamburger SV remains the front runner at least until Sunday. With the third success in a row, KSC climbed to seventh place and is only one point behind the East Westphalia.
Paderborn fell behind early due to a goal from Daniel Gordon (7th), and the entire defense didn’t look good after a corner from Karlsruhe. The guests demanded a penalty after a duel between Marc Lorenz and their midfielder Svante Ingelsson, in return Kyoung-Rok Choi almost scored the 2-0, Jamilu Collins saved on the line (24th). The KSC also had bad luck with a header from Gordon to the crossbar (40th).
In the second half Paderborn increased significantly and pushed for the equalizer. However, there were hardly any scoring opportunities. Substitute Kai Pröger (76th) had the best opportunity. Paderborn last lost on September 28th (3: 4 against HSV). At KSC, kit man Hüseyin “Hans” Cayoglu celebrated his departure after 46 years.
